Serial Extraction: Look to the Past to Plan the Future

Presentation examine orthodontic approach with serial extractions in early orthodontic treatment or better guidance of occlusion with serial extraction. With a look to the past , teachings of big orthodontists will be underlined and they will not be forgotten . Space will then be given to diagnostic analysis that Is fundamental to treat a case with serial extraction: timing and modality will be shown for when therapeutic iter begin and what are the real objectives of the first phase of interceptive treatment .With the help of some clinical treated cases , the fixed objectives are illustrated using this method of treatment in the early treatment , underlying the importance of diagnostic aspects and correct timing of extraction. The management of these aspects allows us to obtain great results avoiding the worsening of malocclusion. With the technological innovation in the field of diagnostic and in the field of therapy , the perspectives futures will be analyzed to improve our planning treatments.
